Dahlias, New platform, Beauty in your inbox
New watercolor paintings, my newsletter is on a new platform, and ongoing summer musings
Expressions of Summer
A powerful solar month in the northern hemisphere, August brings hot summer days, garden harvests, and the roar of Leo season. Expression for the sake of joy is a very leonine trait. So it is fitting that Dahlias show up here at this time.
Exquisite Paintings on the Nature of Flowers is a body of work based on a sophisticated visual analysis of Nature's frequencies = LOVE. My long-standing body of work, ongoing and now in phase two, began in the early 1990s and is the culmination of a lifetime quest—a sacred journey into the heart of Nature, Beauty, and healing the myth of separation.

Dahlia Time
With an energetic signature that is gentle, yet decisive, clear, and forthright, Dahlias usher in the light of the sun. Bright, bold, confidence, and the many permutations of these qualities are their thing. It happens through the lens of Mother Nature, not the human ego-mind that thinks it is strong and confident. These flowers show us how to shine. No apologies. Yay.
Natural forms teach through their beauty, a word that's hard to define, as it should be. Plants, especially flowers in full bloom, have a lot to say, but not through words. When they inspire words, we feel their special warmth. The sun comes forward with them, and we sense our affinity with the greater terrain of life.
Flowers and plants do their thing, grow as they will, and release their essence into the atmosphere. The ecosystem, that vibrant green bandwidth of earth that supports and nourishes all of life, strengthens. If aligned with Mother Nature, we may benefit too and not even realize it.
A Happy Vibe
The Dahlia vibe is happy. It’s about the unabashed joy of being alive, being in bloom. When we’re in bloom, no matter our age, we move through life with the ability to make decisions and act without doubting ourselves. We easily choose to be in alignment with life as source directs us —a reminder to march to the beat of our own drum. Not only is it okay, it’s essential.
